General Weather Description:
Princeton and northern New Jersey have cold winters with snow but the average temperatures are not low enough for persistent snow cover. The area’s coastal position keeps temperatures slightly warmer than inland regions. Spring and autumn in Princeton can be erratic. The weather can range from cold and snowy to warm and humid. Typically the autumn is cool with pleasant foliage colors and falling leaves in October. Springtime is also cool and rainy with flowers blooming in April and May. Summer is often warm and pleasant with brief periods that are hot and humid. Summer is also the area’s wettest season.
